Wallpaper factory

Built in 1906, the building originally housed the award-winning wallpaper manufacturer Kåberg’s wallpaper factory – hence the name of the new hotel. Since then, the building has served as a service building for Atlas Copco and a creative office.

Today the property houses hotel operations for Clarion Hotel with a total of 236 rooms on 5 floors, 2 underground parking levels, a wellness area, restaurant, bar, flexible conference areas and an event area. The two lower street levels regain their characteristic brick facade by reusing the old brick and adding three new floors with glass facades.

The project involved the rebuilding and extension of the property where Exengo had to design all disciplines within installation and energy.

Tapetfabriken has been certified according to
BREEAM-SE
level Excellent. One of the few hotels in Sweden to reach this advanced level.
