Exengo’s assignment included rebuilding the ventilation system and installing new comfort cooling in the building, which contains library areas, book storage, book archives, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, etc. The assignment to Akademiska Hus began with feasibility studies and program documents up to the preparation of construction documents.

The design followed the requirements of Green Building Silver. The building is classified as blue according to the Stockholm City Museum’s classification. The library was built in the early 1980s and designed by Ralf Erskine’s architectural office.
