Next to NK, at the intersection of Regeringsgatan and Hamngata, is the Hästskon 9 block. Hästskon 9 was built in the 1930s and has since undergone a number of renovations. The building was one of the first commercial buildings in Stockholm to be built in the functionalist style. Today, the building is Green Classed according to the City Museum’s classification map and is considered to be of cultural-historical value.
The building consists of nine floors above ground and two underground floors. Exengo has been commissioned by the current property owner Vasakronan to design the ventilation system for the building. Today the building consists of about 5700 square meters of office space and about 3400 square meters of retail space.
