Hägerneholmsskolan & Hägerneholmshallen

In 2016, Exengo was commissioned by
Arcona
to design all installations for a school and sports hall in the new district of Hägerneholm,
Täby municipality
. The school consists of pre-school and primary school sections, with the pre-school accommodating 110 children and the primary school 600 pupils. A grandstand will be built for the sports hall to accommodate 500 spectators. In addition to the design of the school and sports hall, the project also included electrical and lighting design for the school’s schoolyard and associated artificial grass pitch.

The school and sports hall have had high environmental ambitions and have been certified according to the
Environmental Building
level Gold and Silver respectively. Meeting these high standards has been challenging. To make it happen, Exengo was involved in designing the architecture, windows and construction. Also designed smart ventilation and lighting systems that contribute to both a good indoor climate and reduced energy use. At the same time, Exengo designers have ensured that installation products do not contain harmful substances.

The school was completed in the fall semester of 2019 and was nominated for Täby’s urban development award in 2020.
