The school was built in 1963 consisting of two-storey buildings for the middle school and administration, single-storey wings for the primary school and a sports hall. The school was subsequently supplemented in various stages with three pavilions. The school was originally designed by Åke Östlin and is classified in the City Museum’s cultural environment inventory. The school is located on a hill with housing to the north, the sports field to the east, the open valley to the south and Nälstabadet to the west.
The new school for approximately 670 students in grades F-6 was completed in 2020 after a total renovation. The project included the construction of new school buildings, complete renovation of existing school buildings and a new sports hall. Existing pavilions were demolished.
Exengo was involved from the system action phase to the completion of the school.
